Neos acclaims British Computer Society award winner
London's Dorchester Hotel wins Best Service Application of technology in the UK

November 2nd 2004 - London, UK -- Neos Interactive today joined hospitality industry leaders in acclaiming the success of The Dorchester Hotel, London in winning what is described as an "Oscar" at the British Computer Society's 2004 Business Achievements Awards, presented at a prestigious ceremony in London last month.

The British Computer Society Business Achievements Awards recognise "the key contribution made by the IT profession to economic prosperity, business efficiency and public services". The Dorchester Hotel was named best service organisation for its "In Room Technology Service" project, because of the originality of its approach, the reliability and profitability of its results, and the level of usage of its systems. Medallists in this category included companies carrying out technology projects on behalf of the UK leading supermarkets chain Tesco, and British Telecom.

Commenting on the award, Luke Mellors, The Dorchester's Head of Information Technology said:

"The purpose of our project was to create an In Room Technology Services platform for hotel guests that would be unrivalled anywhere in the world - to create an environment that would give travellers the best in technology infrastructure and equipment so they could experience the very best in entertainment and business related applications. Our goal was simply to improve our guest service, and being recognised by the BCS for having achieved this gives the process, our design and the effort of many good people the credit they all deserve."

In extending his congratulations to The Dorchester, Tassos Kazinos, Chief Executive of Neos Interactive Limited, who supplied the technology systems commissioned by The Dorchester said:

"In 2001 the Dorchester set out to change the landscape of the hotel industry by investing in an up-to-date, multi functional system that would change the perception that the Hotel industry does not understand, or seek to meet the technical challenges of its guests. They found Neos, and together we have created an unrivalled suite of systems to fulfil the entertainment and business needs of today's frequent travellers. The Dorchester's greatest achievement may yet be to have changed the way hotels will have to think about their responsibility to provide as much for the technology needs of their guests as for their subsistence and rest."
